Are Disney Store Vinylmation Displays Shrinking?

We were sent this photo from @IndyandMarian…

That is extent of the new Vinylmation section at the Florida Mall in Orlando, FL. Not sure what this reduction in shelf space means or if it is a permanent move. Is this of much concern to collectors in Orlando who could just purchase Vinylmation at Downtown Disney or Online? I, as a local, avoid this mall for two reasons. First, location. It is very much out of my way and the traffic around it is not fun either. Second, and I say this full of love for the guests who visit our fine city daily, it is a very touristy mall. But that also makes it the perfect spot for a large Disney Store. Are other Disney Stores across the country shrinking their Vinylmation display as well?

  1. The stores near me (West Covina, Arcadia, Montebello) all have about the same amount of Vinylmation on display. The Arcadia (Santa Anita) location has a similar fixture while the West Covina store has one wall bay dedicated to vinyls and the Montebello store has two half fixtures with vinyls. Oh the Los Cerritos location has the cash wrap wall bays filled with Vinyls. Slim pickens all around either way.

Honestly, our local store (boynton beach) has plenty.. both on sale and full price. I was surprised how much was there (nearly an entire wall).

  3. It could be after the “BOGOF”‘s offers they’ve cleared out all the non-disney stock … to be honest, if you saw the uk stores with just a few spooky 2 twin packs on or just half a dozen myths/zooper blind boxes… that display looks great… i think there does seem to be a feeling that disney is pulling back a little on promotion/stock, but again there hasn’t been a huge amount out recently, so that could be a major reason.

  4. maybe its just that area…the disney stores in my area are pretty stocked

  5. My disney store in Ft. Lauterdale is shrinking its vinyl display drasticly. At first there was an entire wall deticated to vinyls. Then there was a display like the one you posted. Now there is a tiny half sized shelf that encorparates vinyl and cars plush tucked away in a corner. Vinyl displays in these parts are definately shrinking.

  6. The Houston stores are stocked well! One even expanded their display area.

  7. I just wish the mall I go to still had a Disney store at all!

  8. My local Disney Store in OKC currently has a huge selection. But in the past it has been this size, or maybe even smaller, once it twice. I think it depends on the current sales and series out. But they always bring more out eventually.

  9. My Disnye Store in Atlanta has a full part of a wall stocked! Every time I go I see different set-ups.

  10. The mall here in San Diego has a small collection, and it is also hidden at the back corner of the store ):
